Fulcrum Technologies Opens Japan Office to Support Growing Semiconductor Manufacturing Demand
PORTLAND, Ore., and JAPAN — Fulcrum Technologies, the provider of precision-engineered structures for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, has opened a Japan office to support growing demand across the Asia-Pacific region.
Fulcrum’s expansion builds on market engagement through a Japan-based sales and distribution partner supporting pedestal needs for semiconductor fabs. As demand increased in recent years, high trans-Pacific shipping costs and strong customer preference for local manufacturing made regional production essential, a shift further supported by increased government investment in semiconductor manufacturing across Asia.
Fulcrum Technologies has established Fulcrum Japan 合同会社 (Godo Kaisha) and is now operating in Japan as a regional base to support semiconductor manufacturers and equipment programs throughout Asia. Fulcrum is experiencing a significant surge in project demand across the region, driving a shift toward local manufacturing and shipment from Japan.
Local production is supported through established partnerships with Japanese manufacturing suppliers, providing metal processing, laser cutting, forming, painting and assembly, with ongoing capacity expansion underway.
“We’re excited to expand our resources in the Asia-Pacific region to better support our customers where they operate,” said Vivek Ramadoss, president of Fulcrum Technologies. “Establishing a local presence allows us to be more responsive, strengthen regional partnerships and support advanced semiconductor manufacturing with greater speed and efficiency.”
